Yoga Rakshati Rakshitah: A peaceful yoga day celebration at BGS PS: 

It was a soothing day on June 21^st, 2023, in the BGSPS campus. We celebrated a tranquil and elegant event: ‘International yoga day’. A large crowd, including all the staff and students of BGS and SJB group of institutions, gathered at the SJB CRICKET STADIUM at 8 am. They performed asanas that stimulated their minds and bodies, keeping them active throughout the day. The program lasted for an hour after which it was the students’ turn at 12 pm. With the quote “Inhale the future, exhale the past” in mind, the students of BGSPS engaged in a healthy yoga session, incorporating various stretches and the divine practice of ‘Surya Namaskar’. The students and teachers were also treated to a mesmerising yoga demonstration by Nandish V, a national champion and a student at the school. His diverse poses and twists left all of us awestruck. Being the longest day in the northern hemisphere, it was also the most peaceful day in BGS HEALTH AND EDUCATION CITY. This event marked a new initiative taken by the school to motivate students and teachers to practice yoga every day for better health. Together, we inspired each other to delve into the roots of Indian culture and slowly implement yoga into our daily lives!
