Field trip to Central Library – Cubbon Park

In the middle of the lush green atmosphere of Cubbon Park stands this huge, red-bricked building, the State Central Library. The students of Grade VIII got a chance to visit one of the city’s biggest cultural sites and landmarks which is a home to over 3,140,000 books. They were amazed to see its shelves packed with everything from periodical publications to books in braille.

The huge hall was stocked up with plenty of academic books, research materials and rare periodicals which are easily accessible to the public. Though they weren’t given the freedom to pick all books, students found a place free from distraction and stress and understand that this is place where one can bury their head deep into the books if they aspire to ace the competitive exams in future.
