Yoga
It integrates all aspects of our true nature – body, mind, and spirit. Yoga has become more popular in our school through physical education classes and after-school programs. Yoga is beneficial to kids in many ways. Because children encounter emotional, social, and physical challenges or conflicts, a dedicated and intentional yoga practice that includes breathing techniques, behavioral guidelines, and physical postures can be incredibly valuable for them, we also believe that yoga is something children can practice anywhere and that the breathing, the concentration, the poses, and the way students learn to act or react to situations, will lead to constant self-discovery and inquisitiveness.
Swimming
Teaching children to swim and encouraging him/her to swim regularly can have significant benefits for both his health and safety. Especially on a hot day, swimming is a way to keep cool while encouraging a healthy level of physical and social activity. We at BGSPS firmly believe in this and have introduced swimming as a part of their hobby class. Well trained swimming instructors are outsourced to help children with their swimming classes.
Robotics
Science and technology are extremely popular with today’s youth; they are also a pathway to career opportunities in the future. Engaging in technological activities when young can help to stimulate interest in those fields, develop mastery of necessary technologies, and energize the classroom. Keeping this as the guideline the school has offered Robotics as a part of the students hobby class.
Karate
Karate and other martial arts, besides delivering sound physical exercise, teaches self-confidence and respect – respect for others and for oneself. In children, these are exceptionally important life skills, the self-confidence that comes from knowing how to do something, and how to protect oneself, reduces fear and improves self-esteem. This translates into good grades and leadership in school. Karate is one of the programmes at hobby classes conducted by school on working Saturdays for students of classes
