Please Note
- Admission to other grades will be applicable based on the age-limit to Grade I.
- Preference will be given to the students from the neighborhood, siblings of the students and those who are transferred from one state to another.
Pre-admission procedure:
| Step 1 | Parents who are desirous of admitting their children to BGS PS can fill in the enquiry form either online on the school website or at the school front desk. |
Step 2 | The prospective parents are given a school tour, if they are interested and will be briefed on the school processes. A presentation on the school policies and facilities will be given to all the parents to gain a better understanding of the school. |
Step 3 | If they wish to proceed with the admission, they are requested to submit the application either online or by collecting the same from the school front desk. The cost of the application is Rs. 1000 which is non-refundable. Registrations are open from 17th October 2023. |
Step 4 | Along with the application, it is mandatory to attach the following documents. i) A copy of the Date of birth certificate of the child and the original document for verification ii) A copy of the student’s Aadhar card iii) A copy of the Aadhar card of the parents iv) A copy of address proof (A copy of Aadhar card/Sale deed/rental agreement/Passport) v) A copy of the caste certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC) vi) Two recent passport size photographs of the student vii) One passport size photograph of the father and the mother. viii) Progress report (For Grades VI and above, the progress reports of the consecutive three years must be submitted). ix) Transfer Certificate from the previous school. |
Step 5 | Each candidate will be assessed on their previous knowledge as applicable to the grade to which admission is sought. The questions would be generic based on the NCERT syllabus. The mode and timings of the admission test will be intimated by the office team. i) For admission to kindergarten, assessment will be an interaction between the teacher and the candidate. ii) For admission to Grade 1, the candidate will be assessed on English and Mathematics iii) For admission to Grades II to IV the candidate will be assessed on English, Mathematics, Hindi and Kannada. iv) For admission to Grades V to IX, the candidate will be assessed on English, Mathematics and second language (Hindi/Kannada/Sanskrit) and third language (Hindi/Kannada/Sanskrit), Science and Social Studies. Third language is not applicable for admission to Grade V. v) For admission to Grade XI, the candidate will be assessed based on the stream chosen. The candidate will be assessed in English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology or Computer Science for Science Stream. For commerce stream, the assessment will be in English, Economics and Basic Mathematics or Computer Science. vi) For candidates from other states and countries, the assessment will be done at the discretion of the school management. |
Step 6 | Post clearing the admission test, an interaction will be scheduled with the school principal. |
Step 7 | Admission will be offered to the selected candidate and the same will be announced through email. |
Step 8 | Once the fee payment and necessary documents are submitted, the parents will receive the admission confirmation email from the school. A period of ten days would be given from the date of announcement of the offer. |
Step 9 | The parents will be briefed on the joining formalities and other procedures by the Admission Counsellor. |
